CYCLONE IDAI’s aftermath
ASEM’s founder, Barbara Hofmann, lives and remains in Beira. She describes life after the cyclone:
““Ninety percent of people have lost almost everything and our help is just a drop. But people don’t despair. Indeed, they show a strength of endurance, resigned but at the same time almost serene. We need your help.””
Children from one of ASEM’s schools wade through the waters after Cyclone Idai, in Beira, Mozambique.
Help with survival
Help the children of Mozambique survive Idai’s effects.
The following gallery shows Cyclone Idai devastating effects on ASEM’s four schools and the beginning of the enormous effort needed to restore them.
